Last year, TV star and restauranteur George Calombaris – of Press Club, Hellenic Republic, Gazi, Mastic and Jimmy Grants fame – launched Oh My Greek Week, with the aim of bringing together some of the greatest Greek chefs from Australia and further afield to create culinary magic.
The grand finale for the week is the OMG Week Gala Dinner, held at the grand Peninsula in the Docklands. Here, diners will be treated to a five-course menu created by a team of 12 chefs and mixologists (some hailing from Athens and the US). Expect classic Greek dishes done extremely well, plus some boundary-pushing options that will change the way you think about Hellenic cuisine.
And that's not all: your entertainment for the night is none other than Greek Cypriot music superstar Michalis Hatzigiannis (pictured).
