A pineapple doesn’t get you all that far at most of Sydney’s top restaurants, but for the month of October it certainly will.

The Let’s Do Lunch series is back as part of Good Food Month’s 21st annual program, serving up specially curated lunches at some of the biggest names in the biz for $45 in partnership with New Zealand’s Church Road Wines.

That means you can score a main course and a glass of something good Monday through Friday at the legendary Bentley Restaurant and Bar (a 2019 Time Out Food Awards nominee for Best Fine Dining Restaurant), and at Cirrus, Bentley’s spectacular seafood-focused sister restaurant in Barangaroo.

If the mood is old-school, hit up Pendolino in the Strand Arcade for a one-off menu inspired by the Venetian Republic, or chuck a sickie and head to the beach for a long lunch at Sardinian stalwart Pilu at Freshwater.

Looking to maximise the bang for your buck? Book a spot at Nomad in Surry Hills, where you’ll score two of the restaurant’s signature Mediterranean-meets-Mod-Oz dishes, or at Darlinghurst’s pocket-sized Sagra, where Italian Saturday lunch involves antipasti and a plate of something more substantial.

Wining and dining at places of this calibre usually costs you twice as much, so take full advantage while you can – your future holiday shopping budget will be most grateful.
