The annual music and arts crawl along King Street is back again
Forget progessive dinners, this here is a progressive gig hosted by venues up and down Newtown's famously rainbow main drag, King Street. And this year the crawl is extending to include parts of Erskineville Road and Enmore Road.
Unlike your standard pub crawl this one is about the art, music and eats, as well as the drinks, and is designed to showcase local venues as well as local artists.
More line-ups are set to be announced, but so far we know that Newtown Social Club will be hosting live sets from Grinding Eyes, the Tambourine Girls, Richard Cuthbert, A.D.K.O.B, the Maladies, Shrapnel and Fan Girl; and Newtown's newest live music venue, Leadbelly (formerly the Vanguard) will be lending its stage to Twin Fires, Pat Capocci, Good Counsel, James Thompson & the Strange Pilgrim, the Drey Rollan Band, Billy Fox, Nick Saxon, Ruth Carp & the Fish Heads, and Colin Jones & the Delta Revue.
