Kennedy Town’s 11 Westside appears to have called it quits without warning.
Having opened in 2017, the restaurant was one of the neighbourhood’s go-to spots for vibrant Mexican fare, serving up tacos, craft cocktails, and their famous tableside guac.
Alarms were first raised on social media on July 28, with following reports noting that the venue’s lights were turned off, doors were locked, and the restaurant’s booking system was no longer accepting reservations.
With no word from management, diners have been left to speculate on the sudden exit. One theory circulating online is that the team have pulled out to shift their focus to Singapore following a recent expansion into the city-state. Public reactions have also been divided, with long-time regulars expressing genuine shock at losing a neighbourhood staple, while critics argued the place had become overpriced and underwhelming well before the doors locked for good.
As it stands, neither 11 Westside nor its parent restaurant group has issued an official statement to explain the sudden disappearance, leaving regulars to wonder if this is a permanent farewell.
