Prepare to tackle a ninja course, strap in for go-karting, and dive headfirst down the city’s steepest slide

Have you ever walked past a kids’ playground and felt a sudden urge to hop on the swings or whizz down the slide? Usually, that impulse is promptly laid to rest by the fear of getting side-eyed by judging parents (and the potential traumatisation of several toddlers). Well, you can now abandon the shame, because a brand-new ‘sportainment’ hub named Xventure is set to land in Hong Kong this month, and it’s built for both the big kids at heart and actual children to enjoy.
Fresh from a successful launch in Chiang Mai, this indoor playground packs nine themed zones and 26 individual challenges designed to test your agility, courage, and core strength all into a 20,000-sqft space in Quarry Bay.
The headline act is undoubtedly Hong Kong’s steepest slide park, which features an eight-metre-tall roller ski slide and a rocket slide you can plunge headfirst down on a fast mat. If you enjoy being far above the ground, you can also tackle the city’s tallest indoor rope course, which hovers three metres up with floating beams and a sky glide finish.
Those who want more action can also take on a 16-metre ninja course where your feet must never touch the ground, a jump arena for gravity-defying dodgeball, and a digital ‘The Floor is Lava’ game where players will have to run, skip, and jump to avoid red flashing floor tiles.
There’s also a go-kart track, interactive games where tech meets sports, a giant ball zipline, and an arena where you can challenge your mates to various games – basically, if you can’t find a way to burn off some steam (and calories) here, you’re probably doing it wrong.
Standard entry for a single person ranges from $188 for 120 minutes to $248 for 180 minutes from Monday to Thursday, while prices on Friday, weekends, and public holidays start at $238 for two hours, and $288 for three. Parent-child duos are also available starting from $288.
Do bear in mind that the minimum age for entry is six years old, and all visitors are required to wear non-slip socks and complete a liability waiver before they can start playing. Tickets are now available at xventurepark.com.
