They’re calling it the collab of the century

After the massive success of its partnerships with Omega and Blancpain, Swatch is shaking up the watch world yet again – and it’s a big one this time. The brand has teamed up with legendary Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet (AP), and after a cryptic announcement on Instagram, the upcoming ‘Royal Pop’ collection has officially sent the internet into a frenzy.
Curious about what this powerhouse duo has in store? Here’s everything we know so far about the AP x Swatch ‘Royal Pop’ drop, including release dates, pricing, and where you can get your hands on one in Hong Kong.
The global launch is set for May 16. Swatch is keeping us in suspense regarding the price and local release details, so stay tuned for updates as they come in.
According to Swatch Hong Kong, the 2026 Swatch x AP ‘Royal Pop’ collection will be available at six select boutiques:
Based on previous major Swatch collaborations, these will likely be in-store only with no online sales. For the exact release time and possible queueing arrangements, keep an eye on Swatch Hong Kong’s official website and social media channels.

Swatch hasn’t fully revealed the final watch yet, but they’ve described it as a “disruptive collaboration” that blends bold, playful energy with high-end craftsmanship, promising to redefine how we wear watches.
Their teaser clips have revealed vibrant cord straps in lime green, pink, navy, and purple, accompanied by a distinct “click-clack” sound. This has led many to speculate that the AP x Swatch ‘Royal Pop’ will fuse the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak silhouette with Swatch’s Bioceramic material to revive the ‘Swatch Pop’ concept from the 80s – meaning you could potentially pop the watch face out of the case to wear it as a pocket watch, a pendant, or even clip it onto your clothes.
