Curated by Today at Apple and New York’s New Museum, AR[T] is an immersive augmented reality art experience that will have you questioning what’s real and what’s not. This free interactive guided walk will debut on August 10 and centre around Apple’s Causeway Bay store, highlighting works by contemporary artists Nick Cave, Cao Fei, John Giorno and more.

Through unexpected whimsical sights and all-consuming sounds, this AR art walk delivers a different lens to view Hong Kong’s cityscape. The cross between art and technology stretches beyond the expected limits of creativity, but [AR]T is only a teaser of what’s to come in the world of interactive realities. Devices and headphones will be provided for the walk, but feel free to bring along those nifty AirPods if you have them.

For those looking for a dose of AR but want to avoid the fuss of registering, pop in to any Apple Store to experience Cave’s ‘Amass’. Through the AR[T] viewer in the Apple Store app, users can explore and collect ‘Ikon Elements’, not unlike catching Pokemon in the now-infamous Pokemon Go. Just don’t forget to snap back to reality once you’re done with your AR fun. You can sign up for an AR[T] session hereBy Mabel Lui
