Beef & Liberty may dish up some of Hong Kong’s mightiest and meatiest patties, but their falafel burger is just as bad ass. The falafel patty is smothered with creamy sesame sauce and a spicy-yet-cooling harissa yoghurt. Topped with crunchy butter lettuce and sliced tomato, this golden wonder will please all palates. Various locations.

  • Restaurants
  • Tsim Sha Tsui

This American export serves up burgers that are wagyu, salmon or turkey and much that’s in between. However, its healthiest and heartiest option has to be the veggie falafel burger. The falafel is a medley of organic grains and the whole wheat bun is packed out with vegetables and avocado and seasoned with mouth-watering spices.

Little Bao

Asia’s best female chef May Chow knows how to wow with a bao and The Sloppy Chan is no exception. Taiwanese braised shiitake tempeh, crunchy sweet pickled daikon and fried shallot is packed into a soft bao, complete with a delicately delicious truffle mayo.

Morrison Cafe and Bar

  • Sheung Wan

This quaint Queen’s Road café is named after Jim Morrison of The Doors and though veggie burgers may not be quintessential rock’n’roll grub, Morrison’s one should light your fire. The patty is made from potatoes and chickpeas and is topped with cheese, truffle mayo and gherkins. Try to run, try to hide, break on through to the veggie side!
