We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city's best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Burn off those Thanksgiving carbs with a spin around the best ice skating rinks in the city. From Downtown to Santa Monica, the city's outdoor rinks are in full swing—and finally with cool enough weather to match.

Drift into the L.A. Convention Center for the final weekend of the L.A. Auto Show. Get behind the wheel of futuristic prototype cars and be on the lookout for appearances from local sports legends.

If all of those cars inspired a bit of wanderlust, trek out to Riverside for the "switch-on" ceremony for Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn. The stunning Spanish Mission-style hotel is set to be bathed in 4.5 million twinkly Christmas lights during this free, six-week-long holiday tradition with horse-drawn carriage rides, fresh snow and more than 400 animated figures.

Saturday

Find your new best friend during Home for the Pawlidayz. Both the Mission Hills and West L.A. locations of Best Friends Animal Society will be waiving adoptions fees throughout the holiday weekend thanks to a promotion with Zappos.

Have a crafty start to the Christmas shopping season at CAFAM's annual Holiday Marketplace along Miracle Mile. If you're making a list and checking it twice, consider this holiday market for unique handmade gifts and an opportunity to meet the international artists behind them.

Catch a screening of Addams Family Values at the Palace Theatre thanks to Cinespia. With cemetery screening season behind us, the ornate Downtown theater should serve as the perfect location for the '90s tale of everybody's favorite murder-happy dysfunctional family.

Head to Descanso Gardens for the opening weekend of Enchanted: Forest of Light. The botanical garden's inaugural interactive light-up experience has ditched the kitsch in favor of a whimsical, wondrous, curiosity-driven display that's among L.A.'s most stunning and, more importantly, most fun.

Sunday

Head to LACMA for the final day of Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters. Fall in love with 500 startling, horrifying and beautiful objects from the Pan's Labyrinth and Pacific Rim director's personal collection.

Make your way to the west side of Elysian Park for a bit of cold weather fun at Snow Los Angeles. Explore nine acres of fake snow and tube slides at this magical winter wonderland just minutes from Downtown.

If you're up for a bit of holiday kitsch, stake out a spot on the sidewalk for the Hollywood Christmas Parade. Watch floats and bands make their way through Hollywood during this 84-year-old tradition.

Close out your weekend at the Theatre at Ace Hotel with a special performance from Seu Jorge. Listen to the Brazilian singer-songwriter pay tribute to Ziggy Stardust with acoustic David Bowie covers pulled from his Portuguese-sung contributions to The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou soundtrack.
