We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city’s best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Embark on architecture tours and artisan studio visits during Pasadena Heritage Craftsman Weekend, an annual celebration of the Arroyo’s astoundingly handsome homes.

Partake in a complimentary tequila tasting, listen to live music and get your face painted at the FIGat7th Day of the Dead Celebration.

Just down the street, swing by DTLA’s swanky Whole Foods for a gelato tasting, Q&A and book signing with Nancy Silverton, the James Beard Award-winning chef of Osteria Mozza fame.

Head to the Ever Bar in Kimpton’s new Everly Hotel for Drag Queen Story Hour, a kid-friendly storytelling and craft event led by drag queen Devan M.

Take your pick between two stand-out Halloween parties tonight: Get your best Stevie Nicks bouffant ready for Fleetmac Wood’s “Sisters of the Moon” Fleetwood Mac-inspired dance party at UNION, or have a blast at the Belasco during Halloweenie, the annual Gay Men’s Chorus of L.A. benefit.

Saturday

If you’re up for a full-day music affair, Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival kicks off today at Exposition Park with sets from Vince Staples, Lana Del Rey, Justice, Migos and Tyler, the Creator, while the Growlers Six invades the San Pedro waterfront with performances from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Dan Auerbach, the B-52s and more.

Brush up on the mourning rituals of the Victorian era during Heritage Square Museum’s Halloween & Mourning Tours. Today’s programming is decidedly adult-oriented, with a reenactment of a Civil War burial, a visit to a séance room and a trip to the undertaker.

Listen to a conversation with Ice T and watch him perform with Arabian Prince and other members of Uncle Jamm’s Army during a pair of Red Bull Music Academy Festival events in Inglewood.

Alternatively, see Chris Thile host A Prairie Home Companion as he brings Dan Auerbach, Robert Finley and Fiona Apple to this live show at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium

Head to Hollywood Forever Cemetery before the sun goes down—i.e. before the crowds arrive—for its annual Día de Los Muertos celebration, filled with live music, food and stunning altars and costumes.

Spend the evening at the Wiltern for a set from Broken Social Scene. The Canadian collective returns with more timelessly cool and moody indie-rock anthems.

If you have a costume prepared, wrap up the night at the MacArthur (formerly the Park Plaza) for the KCRW Masquerade Ball. The swanky soiree is back from the dead for another year of DJs, ghost stories and, of course, boogying masqueraders.

Sunday

Make the trek to Irvine for the final weekend of the Hello Kitty pumpkin patch, an adorable Sanrio takeover of Tanaka Farms.

Catch the final day of programming at Los Angeles Comic Con, with comic book panels, anime screenings and celebrity appearances at Marvel icon Stan Lee’s expo at the L.A. Convention Center.

Move over to Mack Sennett Studios for a feast at Taste Talks L.A. The fun foodie symposium includes an all-star cookout this afternoon with dishes from the chefs behind the Exchange, Secret Lasagna, Bone Kettle and more.

Watch Beauty and the Beast come to life during La Belle et la Bete at the Theatre at Ace Hotel. Jean Cocteau’s beautiful 1946 cinematic masterpiece is recast with live L.A. Opera singers and an enchanting new soundtrack by Philip Glass.

Relive decades of defining rock and roll concerts with a release party for Smithsonian Rock & Roll: Live and Unseen. Producer Bill Bentley, the photo book’s author, will join the MC5’s Wayne Kramer for a discussion and signing at Book Soup.

Listen to comedian and WTF host and creator Marc Maron in conversation with his producer Brendan McDonald during a Live Talks L.A. chat at the New Roads School.

Close out your weekend with a foot stompin’ evening of country music as the Zac Brown Band plays the Hollywood Bowl.
