Time Out says

A wine and food party is hitting the Builders Arms Hotel

Back for its fourth year at Andrew McConnell’s Builders Arms Hotel, Handmade is a food and wine party where wine lovers and creators can come together to sample, talk and learn about fine wine.

At its essence, Handmade is a day dedicated to making quality wine fun and accessible. Attendees can learn from over 50 producers and importers from all over Australia known for the effort they put into producing quality vino. You’ll be able to sample wines from local, interstate and international producers, including Gentle Folk, Chapter, the Wanderer, Bobar, William Downie and more, some not so accessible to the public.

If the wine wasn’t enough, there will also be delicious food served by a host of guest chefs. Mitch Orr from Sydney’s Acme will be bringing his baloney sandwich and signature pig's head, egg yolk and macaroni pasta. Thi Le from Richmond’s Anchovy will also be in attendance and is sure to wow with her Vietnamese flavours, offering punchy duck and pork larb, grilled chicken hearts and blood sausage.

Not only will Ricky and Pinky’s ArChan Chan, Meatsmith butcher Troy Wheeler and former Moon Under Water head chef Josh Murphy also be there serving treats, the Builders Arms’ second floor will once again transform into a cheese metropolis, packed with pungent goodies from Maker and Monger. And yes, the raclette toasties will be there.

The first release of tickets has sold out, but more tickets will be available closer to the date. Stay tuned.
