Easter is coming up, and it looks like we'll all be staying in. Don't worry! We're here to help you make the most of it, and turn this holiday into the best one yet.

1. Hold an Easter egg hunt

You can turn even the coziest apartment into a playland full of discovery with an at-home Easter egg hunt. Start with a trail of treats from the best candy stores in NYC that will lead your little one to the Easter basket, then hide hard-boiled eggs you decorate yourself.

2. Go on a virtual Easter egg hunt

Online Easter egg hunts have been around for a while, but the selection this year promises to be most extensive ever. Go to Eventbrite and find the right one for you.

3. Get crafty

These Easter arts-and-crafts projects from Crayola are easy to make. You can also try your hand at these collaged eggs from the Children's Museum of Manhattan.

4. Assemble a spectacular Easter brunch

You don't need to be an accomplished home cook to put together a fantastic Easter brunch. Get smoked fish from Acme (pickup is on Friday, April 10, so all orders must be placed before then), and some sweet treats from Magnolia Bakery. Or order an Easter brunch from French bakery Marie Blachére ($45) that includes finger sandwiches, salads, pastries and drinks.

5. Dress for the occasion

This is the perfect year to turn it on and dress up in your Easter best. Not only can you join New York's virtual Easter Bonnet Parade, your outfits will make your video chats that much more fabulous. (See below.)

6. Video chat with family and friends—with an Easter-themed background

Perk up your family Zoom chat with one of these Easter-themed backgrounds. The spinning Peeps and hip-hop bunny are ridiculously cute.

7. Read an Easter book

The best Easter books for kids are a seasonal delight.

8. Watch a bunny movie

It doesn't need to be an Easter flick as long as it has a hoppy ending.

9. Live-stream an Easter service

St. Patrick's here in NYC will stream Easter mass live. You can also watch Pope Francis at St. Peter's in Rome.
