Senator's Easter Egg Hunt
In addition to more than 1,000 eggs for kids to hunt down (each egg contains a ticket that can be redeemed for a prize), this popular annual fest features music, face painting and other entertainment sure to keep kids excited long after the quest is over. Warning: Expect long lines, as well as a limit on the number of eggs each child is allowed to take home. Fri Mar 30 11am--2pm. Dyker Beach Park, 86th St at 14th Ave, Dyker Heights, Brooklyn (718-836-9722). Free. All ages.

Youngsters who attend the second annual All Souls Christian Church egg hunt will also have their faces painted and spend time participating in arts and crafts. Adults can enjoy free coffee and muffins while the kids have their Easter fun. Registration begins at 9:45am. Sat Mar 31 10am--noon. North Lawn of Riverside Park at 79th St (allsoulschristianchurch.com). Free. Ages 1 to 10.

Come out and "Color Your Own" this weekend with Eleni's special decorative cookies! Tickets to the event include a dozen egg cookies, five edible markers and one hour of family decorating time. Sat Mar 24--Sat Apr 7 10am--6pm. Chelsea Market. $25. All ages.

The Morningside Heights Cathedral invites children to decorate eggs with tissue paper, glitter and other materials, then build a nest for their colorful creations out of twigs and feathers. Participants should bring two hard-boiled eggs to decorate. Reservations are highly recommended. Sat Mar 31 10am--noon. Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. $8, accompanying adult free. Ages 4 and up.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt 
Try to keep the little ones from trampling the begonias as they scurry through the historic manse's formal garden scouting for eggs. (Be sure to bring your own basket so you can haul around all of your loot!) Once they've got their candy, kids can enjoy arts and crafts, refreshments and a photo session with a spring bunny. Reservations required. Sat Mar 31 10:30am--1pm. Bartow-Pell Mansion MuseumAdults free, children ages 2--12 $12. Ages 2 to 12.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Spring Fling 
Children run free in the waterfront green space, taking part in egg toss games and boat making at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance as well, taking complimentary photos with young revelers. Other activities are hosted by Karma Kids Yoga and the New York Transit Museum, while tunes come courtesy of AudraRox (noon--1pm) and the Wiyos (10:30--11:30am). Sat Mar 31 10:30am--1pm. . Free. All ages.

Recreation Center 54 is throwing its fourth annual egg hunt with the Sutton Area Community. Along with searching for sweets and treasures, kids will participate in arts & crafts, face painting and some carnival games! Sat Mar 31 11am--1:30pm. Recreation Center 54, 348 E 54th St between First and Second Aves (212-754-5411, nycgovparks.org). Free. All ages. 

Carl Schurz Park Egg Hunt
Decorate your own bag for egg collecting, then embark on one of three egg hunts scheduled throughout the afternoon. Swing by to enjoy face painting, Easter bunny photos and live music in the playground with mommy rocker Moey's Music Party! Sat Mar 31 at noon. Carl Schurz Park. Free. All ages.

Egg-stravaganza at the Staten Island Children's Museum 
The Snug Harbor cultural institution welcomes Easter with an egg hunt and lots of themed activities (don't miss a hop in the moon bounce). Kids are encouraged to show up in creative hats and bunny costumes to win extra prizes. Sat Mar 31 noon--4pm. Staten Island Children's Museum. Free. All ages.

Easter Bunny at J&R Jr.
Take the kids to J&R Jr. to meet (and snap a photo with) the Easter Bunny! Afterwards, sit them down for some arts and crafts, courtesy of Lazoo, and keep an eye out for free techie prizes distributed throughout the weekend. In addition to the Easter festivities, J&R Jr. will be teaming up with the New York City Rescue Mission to gather donations of non-perishable food items for individuals and families in need. As a thank you for the donations, J&R Jr. will give away a free $5 gift card. Families can drop their items for donation off on March 31 and April 1 at 1 Park Row and 23 Park Row. Celebrate Spring!
Tykes learn about Ukrainian springtime traditions by designing their own pysanky, or Easter eggs, and weaving Easter baskets. Sun Apr 1 1:30--3:30pm. The Ukrainian Museum. $5. Ages 5 to 12. 

The powerHouse Arena Easter Party 
Children tote their Easter baskets to the Dumbo bookstore for a lively egg hunt. Giveaways, a storytime and other hoppin' holiday festivities are in the mix as well. Reservations recommended. Sun Apr 1 4--5pm. The powerHouse Arena. Free. Ages 3 to 8.
