Drop in for buttery prosciutto, soft cheese and a 200+ wine list, curated by a former Lumi and Bentley sommelier

If date night looked like a wine bar, this is it. The Heritage Room is the latest from Esper Group, the family-run team behind Rovollo, Mille Vini and Rosie Campbell’s – and it’s just opened next door to Rovollo in Martin Place.
Inside is golden and beautiful, featuring warm, earthy tones, colourful old artworks and a curved marble bar.
Head sommelier Giulia Ceruzzi (ex-Lumi, The International, Fratelli Paradiso) – who was named one of the top 50 sommeliers in the country in the 2026 Champagne Louis Roederer Top 100 Sommeliers Australia – has curated more than 200 wines, with 38 available by the glass, including rare whites made from red Italian grapes grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna.
“We want this list to take our guests somewhere else, whether that’s to a long table under the Tuscan sun, a conversation that stretches longer than planned or simply the pleasure of sharing something good,” Giulia says.
The food menu is designed to go with wine, so think truffle pecorino, soft, buttery prosciutto, pickled figs and more, with the cured meats and cheeses imported from Tuscany.
Be sure to also order the schiacciata, featuring eight-hour slow-roasted short rib, showered in cheese, with a punchy salsa verde on the side (yes, you can have a sandwich at night – there are no rules!). So, mid-week date night?
