M+ at Night returns for its autumn season from September

Hong Kong’s popular after-dark museum parties are coming back next month for three editions of monthly events until the end of this year. This autumn season of M+ at Night parties will celebrate the museum’s fifth anniversary, Hong Kong folklore, and also the general end-of-year revelry, so clear your schedules for the first Friday of each month!

The September party will be themed after M+’s upcoming exhibition on myths and monsters in Asia, so dress up as your favourite demon before rocking up to performances by hip-hop collective Yack Studio, featuring Novel Fergus, LeShing, SoWhat, and DJ ChunChun618; Wong Hin Yan and Nelson Fung; as well as electronic music producer Loisey. There’ll also be special events such as a tattoo experience, so drop by with enough time to try everything out.

November’s late-night session will mark M+’s fifth anniversary in what is sure to be an exuberant celebration. Expect entertainment and music from Cantopop band RubberBand, local indie band Goodnight Lillie, The Recycled Orchestra of Cateura with their upcycled instruments crafted from landfill items, The Quickies dance troupe, and more. 

The final edition of the year comes in December, with names like Cloud Wan, Matt Force, Teriver Cheung, Jan Curious, Jamiez, Nelson Fung, Bowen Li, and more on the lineup. As usual, all eventgoers will be able to access the museum’s galleries in the nighttime well after their normal closing hours.

Early-bird tickets are currently on sale for the September M+ at Night at $240, while public sales begin from August 24 for $320. For the first time, M+ has released a triple pass bundle, granting access to all three editions of the events for $600. M+ at Night: Sonic Phantoms will be held on September 4; Five With Us on November 6; and Winter Whimsy on December 4.
