The time has come for local chefs’ to brick it as the Michelin Guide announces its awards for 2018. Whatever you think of the stars dished out in Hong Kong and Macau in the past, the honour can still make or break restaurants and reputations. Today we can reveal the 2018 list!

Though, to be honest, there’s not too much to report on for the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong and Macau guide. Eight new Hong Kong restaurants have been awarded one star, while there are no new stars in Macao.

Probably the most noteworthy news come from the one star category – Cantonese restaurants Ying Jee Club and Yee Tung Heen are notable new recipients – while Central eatery Duddell’s drops from two stars to one.
