We curate an L.A. weekend itinerary of the city's best concerts, culture and cuisine, every week, just for you.

Friday

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a margarita donut from Astro Doughnut & Fried Chicken. Today only, the Downtown donut shop is selling a tequila and triple sec glazed donut that's sprinkled with rock sugar and topped with a candy lime wedge.

Extend the celebrations with a stop nearby at Fiesta at FIG. FIGat7th is hosting a day of free music and a DIY piñata-making station, plus all-night happy hour prices on margaritas and beers.

Dance among the dinosaurs during First Fridays at the Natural History Museum. Tonight's highlights include lectures on the link between diet and climate change, live music from QUITAPENAS, Buyepogo and Chico Mann, plus DJ sets from Anthony Valdez and Subsuelo.

Saturday

Embark on all sorts of expeditions and back-room tours during Obscura Day, an annual day of adventure from Atlas Obscura. This year's highlights include a kitsch tour of Los Feliz, a jeepney tour of Historic Filipinotown, an Echo Park funhouse and a museum full of decommissioned airliner parts.

Peruse all things enamel at Pin-Pal-Palooza, a pop-up pin marketplace from Gallery Nucleus. The Alhambra art gallery has assembled over two dozen local artists to show off and sell their pint-sized pinnable creations.

Catch an afternoon of free tunes outside of the Geffen Contemporary during the inaugural NTS at MOCA w/ B&O PLAY, a new quarterly concert series.

Celebrate Bird LA Day—it's a thing—with this birds and beers hangout atop Upstairs. The free event includes an Audubon California-hosted rooftop bird-watching session, Q&A and beer night.

Mark HM157's 10th anniversary with a Fancy Space Oddity Party. The Lincoln Heights Victorian house celebrates all things weird and wonderful with a night of spacey tunes, cosmic recitations and a burlesque performance; extraterrestrial attire is encouraged.

Alternatively, kick off outdoor movie season with an Eat|See|Hear screening of Mean Girls at Pasadena's Centennial Square.

Sunday

Eat your way around the field at the Rose Bowl during the return of Masters of Taste. This all-inclusive luxury food fest featuring top-notch spots like Redbird, Birds & Bees, Little Beast, 1886 and more.

If you're looking for something more affordable, head to the free Angel City Heritage Music & Arts Festival. Celebrate the Arts District brewery's fifth anniversary with this beer, food, art and music festival.

Spend an evening with Feist at Downtown's Palace Theater as the celebrated singer-songwriter performs tracks from Pleasure, her first album in six years.

Alternatively, recognize the often overlooked worked of talented female composers in the film industry during The Future is Female: A Concert for Women in Film. This concert at Santa Monica's Moss Theater features 10 up-and-coming movie, TV and video game composers and performers backed by a 31-piece orchestra.
