Time Out says

Brick Lane beer and the best of local produce make a perfect pairing at this brand new drinking and dining destination at QVM

There’s plenty to get excited about at Queen Victoria Market (QVM) right now. A swish new food hall has just opened, the Summer Night Market is back and in very exciting news, Brick Lane Brewing has opened a brand new double-storey venue in the heart of the market precinct.

Brick Lane Market features a 120-seater dining room, 150-seater terrace, raw seafood bar and a produce-driven ‘market to plate’ menu that supports the market’s network of growers. It's set to be one of the hottest spots in the city to grab a beer and a feed this summer.

The folks have been collaborating with QVM – a place it describes as its "spiritual home" – for more than half a decade on the space, which first opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, November 29, and has been attracting curious onlookers since.

Expect a thirst-quenching array of 36 beers on tap (including core faves like the One Love Pale Ale and the Hi Fi Dry Zero Carb Japanese Lager, plus bespoke new beers exclusive to QVM), tastings at the kitchen bench (perfect for a post-shop bite) and evolving daily specials based on seasonality. Most of the fresh produce on the menu is sourced from traders within the market, a tight-knit community collaboration to excite foodies and small businesses alike.

Other drinks on the list shine the spotlight on Victorian producers such as Starward, Little Lon, Saint Felix and more, with a selection of local wineries also making an appearance. We know where we’re grabbing a drink after work.

Check it out at the former site of the Mercat Cross Hotel. The dining and drinking destination is open 7 days a week, from 11.30am until late. For more info, head to the website.
