With various stalls and restaurants scattered throughout the city, these give you a perfect opportunity to grab one on-the-go during your lunch break. From your ordinary hotdog with ketchup and mustard to less traditional renditions, such as a soft shell crab hotdog, our city has a bunch of choices waiting to be explored. Situated in West Kowloon Cultural District and open every day, this pet-friendly cafe features hotdogs named after different dog breeds such as poodle, husky, and chihuahua. For $68 to $78, enjoy toppings such as guacamole or truffle mayonnaise on a charcoal bun and remember to consider adding a side dish ($28) of either truffle, garlic or salted-egg yolk fries.

If you’re feeling like something a little healthier, salad is an option too. If you feel like you need more of a variety, their menu allows you to create your own hot dog by choosing the bun and the sausage – which includes the classic frankfurter and four others including an omnipork sausage and topping ($78). Available for takeaway and delivery on online platforms, these buns are a movie night-in essential. While you’re at it, you can even order some ice-cream for your puppy!

Located in Sai Kung, Nine Point Five’s hotdogs come with some unbelievable and unique toppings. Open every day with takeaway and delivery services, this restaurant specialises in only hotdogs. With ten different hotdogs to choose from ranging from $28 to $138, you’ll leave with a full stomach. Catch their takeaway-only special, Warrior Dog ($138) as it’s a weighty meal you won’t forget.

Topped with a whole soft shell crab, pickles, onions and condiments, this hot dog is made for those wanting to try something new. Another special is their All Day Dog ($98 for takeaway or $101 for delivery) directed towards the breakfast-enthusiasts. Consisting of hashbrowns, baked beans, poached egg, smoked salmon, bacon, mushroom, onions and tomatoes on top, this practically is an English breakfast on a bun. So, remember to build up your appetite and try out these wacky, delectable buns.

With four different branches from Wanchai to Tsim Sha Tsui, this fast-food chain has made its way into the hearts of many Hongkongers with their creamy, flavoursome milkshakes. But, their hotdogs are also a crowd favourite. Ranging from $50 to $70, you can get either a regular hotdog, cheese dog, bacon dog and a bacon-cheese dog.

Pair your hotdog with their cajun style fries in small ($35), regular ($45) or large ($55) size. As takeaway and delivery online every day are possible, these hotdogs offer a real, all-American taste.

If you’re looking for more of a variety with your hotdogs, Zeppelin has just the thing for you. In four different locations from Tsuen Wan to Kennedy Town, this takeaway stall is perfect for your mid-week cravings. Plus, they do deliveries online.  Consider getting their combo, which includes a hotdog, a drink, and fries all ranging from $42 to $54. As they offer a range of filling hotdogs, some come with an exuberant amount of toppings.

Their US-style Ring Dog ($48) contains an array of onion rings as the topping with some ketchup and mustard. Another favourite is their chili dog with cheese presenting you with a mountain of cheese almost too satisfying to eat – just like all the others.

Originating as a hot dog cart in Manhattan’s Madison Square Park back in 2001, Shake Shack is known for its mouth-watering burgers, crinkle-cut fries and doggo-friendly treats. However, another go-to food item on the menu craved by food-lovers are their hotdogs. Opt for getting these for takeaway or delivery.

With their regular hotdog ($33) and Shack-cogo Dog ($39), these all-beef delights topped with relish and tomatoes go well with cheesy crinkle-cut fries and a hand-spun milkshake which comes in seven different flavours ($42). Add your choice of mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup at the sauce counter and munch away on your incredibly delicious hotdog at home.

Situated in Tai Po, this takeaway eatery has over ten different hotdogs to choose from all at a reasonable price range of $38 to $60. If you decide to take away these flavourful hotdogs, be sure to try their Signature Dog ($60). Finished off with a spicy beef sauce, beans, sour cream and Doritos, you’ll be left with a combination of flavours that go surprisingly well together leaving your taste buds satisfied. Another piquant combination is their Truffle Scrambled Egg Dog (around $60) made with Italian truffle, Hokkaido milk and parmesan cheese. Though this may seem like a bundle to take on, it’s the ideal breakfast meal and will surely leave you full and pleased.
