We're lucky to have a plethora of great cafes in our city that brew up some of the finest cups of joe in Asia if not the world. More than just providing great coffee though, our idea of the perfect cafe is one that does stellar food to go along with the drinks. These are some of the cafes dotted around the city that do just that, and for those that would rather enjoy your coffee and food in the comfort of your own home, for the time being, it will come as good news that more than a few offer takeaway and even delivery.

RECOMMENDED: If you're looking to get some love on the 'gram, check out our list of the most Instagrammable cafes in Hong Kong that are great for relaxing.

This Mong Kok cafe certainly knows what it's doing when it comes to beans, brews, and food to accompany it, with a stellar lineup of coffees that even include the charcoal latte ($38), and a peppermint mocha ($38) for those who love a particularly fragrant pick-me-up. The food offerings are good in the morning, or any time of day here, and consist of delights from caesar salad ($48) to all-day breakfast ($98), to our favourite avocado toast ($72). They do delivery too, so have it all brought to you.

A quaint, relaxing cafe in sleepy Tai Mei Tuk, Brian Cafe recently opened in June as a spot where you can get away from the jam-packed streets and indulge in coffee and appetising eats in surroundings that are rather pleasing on the eye – and we're not just talking about the coastline a stone's throw from the shop. Enjoy all the regulars – available in both hot and iced – including lattes with well-done latte art, and cappuccinos, and there's also a whole page of espressos too with variations from Romano to a macchiato. For those in the mood for a mid-morning snack, enjoy their range of sandwiches, from smoked salmon ($78) to smoked beef ($78), toast, which comes with everything from peanut butter ($28) to garlic ($35) on it, or the specials, like the daily pasta ($68) or even the all-day breakfast ($98). Note that these guys are open on weekend mornings.

N1 Coffee & Co. lovers know they will be spoilt with quality coffee at every visit. Their brunch menus are no less a must-try to supplement your coffee fix, with coffee lovers spoilt for choice with N1’s all-day breakfast, not to mention a great range of bagels and sandwiches; try their smoked salmon cream cheese bagel, or the avocado scrambled egg bagel. You can also order an additional dollop of smooth and fragrant cream cheese. Best of all, these guys offer delivery, or you can get a 10 percent discount if you order takeaway and collect yourself.

Japanese inspiration is the order of the day at this brand-new Ho Man Tin cafe. Think clean, minimalist white decor throughout, with even a white pebble moat tucked under the counter seating area that complements the clever use of plants to bring the outside inside. Beautiful surroundings aside, Five to One offer a solid lineup of drinks ranging from your classic Americano and their hand Drip to more experimental creations like the Superior Uji Matcha Latte. The food is equally attractive, especially for those in the mood for a mid-morning snack. Try the tonkatsu toast ($68), salads (starting at $68), and the indulgent soft shell crab with scrambled eggs ($88).

This Wan Chai favourite isn't just about the coffee, but also about delicious plates, some of which you can get delivered right to your door if that's what you're after. With all-day breakfast offerings like tomato toast with scrambled eggs, chilli scrambled eggs, and avocado toast; and various other eats on offer including lobster, BBQ pork and Angus beef, there's always something here to accompany your coffee.

These coffee guys know what they're doing, perfecting the coffee experience with a range of delicious sweet and savoury brunch options. Their signature earl grey pancakes are not only delicious but are too gorgeous for Instagram. The menu doesn't end there though, order the unagi fried egg multigrain rice bowl, or the Turkish sous vide egg, yoghurt and cheese grilled toast brunch and more. If you want to enjoy their food and drinks in the comforts of your home, order for delivery.

Because who doesn't want Belgian waffles in the morning? Not only is Waffling Beans a cool hangout nestled in between a bunch of car repair shops in the heart of Kennedy Town, but the food and beverages on offer here also make a great go-to for a mid-morning – or any time of day, for that matter – pick-me-up. The coffee is good, and from the food menu, you can order anything from waffles with chocolate and strawberries, to the chicken schnitzel waffle sandwich. They deliver, too, on many of their dine-in offerings, and also on bags of their delicious coffee beans.
