We can't all get to Texas for the famous Austin City Limits, so the festival is coming to us, care of Sydney City Limits, which has breathed new life into the promise of a festival-filled summer with its inaugural line-up of Justice, Beck, Vance Joy, Phoenix, Tash Sultana, Grace Jones, Gang of Youths, Dune Rats, The Libertines, The Avalanches, and Allday. Just take our money already.

We'll be withdrawing some extra dollars too to get amongst the food line-up that has been curated by none other than Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham of Mary's, the Unicorn Hotel and the Lansdowne Hotel fame. They're the snack captains of this last summer hurrah, and they've talked their pals into joining them so that you can eat pasta from Fratelli Paradiso, porchetta rolls from Da Orazio Pizza and Porchetta, all the best Argentinian bits from Porteno’s full wood-fired grill, and fried chicken and poutine from Hartstyard.

You can also get vegan Mexican from Bad Hombres, ramen from Rising Sun, fish and chips from Fat Fish, Korean bowls from Paper Bird, hoppers from O Tama Carey, Burgers from Mary's, baked treats from Saga, fiery Thai courtesy of Long Chim and Artificer coffee, because we all need a little liquid pep on festival day. And in a move that we can't believe hasn't happened before, they're bringing the big guns with Chinese Noodle House.

If you're a traditionalist when it comes to festival food you'll be happy to hear you can still get a Dagwood dogs and crinkle cut chips, a kransky, Pinoy barbecue skewers and gozleme, natch, or you can peruse the food trucks that will be mustering for the good times on Saturday February 24 in the Centennial Parklands.
