Jurassic Lounge: Halloween
Hello, old friend. Back once again for a dress-up party at the Australian Museum, Jurassic Lounge is bringing all their scariest friends along for an adults-only party with the dinosaurs. You can get up close and personal with tarantulas and funnel webs in the augmented reality cave where scientists will milk the spiders for their venom.
The Craft Halloween screenings at Golden Age Cinema
Teenage witch classic The Craft gets a 20th anniversary Halloween revival at Golden Age Cinema on Saturday October 29. The film, which surprised the bosses at Columbia Pictures by opening at number one on the US box office in May 1996, sees troubled teenager Sarah Bailey (Robin Tunney) fall in with a trio of goth girls (Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Rachel True) at her new school. All of them dabble in the black arts, but who’s the most powerful of them all?
Red Bull Sound Select Halloween party
Getting their fright on will be indie crooners Mansionair, heading a line-up including the fun '80s synth-pop vibes of GL, as well as beatsy Melbourne duo ALTA. It’s worth remembering that your online RSVP doesn't mean you will get in, so get there early because this event is first in best dressed.
