Why we love it: If you’re a savoury girly, a cheese lover, or anyone who ‘actually finds the whole afternoon tea thing a bit sickly’, this is your dream come true. Forget cream and jam – here you’ll get goat’s curd and caramelised onion jelly, spread onto a cheddar scone and drizzled with chive oil. And forget the sweet treats, too – instead gorge on goat’s cheese macarons, a stilton éclair and a Welsh rarebit donut, with its very own bottle of Lea & Perrins for shaking onto every bite. Choose from an extensive tea list, and obviously add on a glass of English sparkling, too. The best part? All the cheese is from Neal’s Yard Dairy next door – so it’s all local, and all delicious.
Time Out tip: Obsessed with one of the cheeses? Head over to Neal’s Yard and buy a chunk of it to take home. And a pack of their oat cakes while you’re at it.
