Taste of Melbourne is taking to the MCG's Yarra Park, where Melbourne's hottest restaurants will all gather, alongside masterclasses from top chefs, pop-up bars, cooking demonstrations, and market stalls from artisan providores. The festival is just around the corner, and pre-purchasing tickets means you'll save on entry, and if you purchase your tickets with your American Express you'll save 15 percent.

This year's four-day festival is set to feature a fresh new program to celebrate a big anniversary and the event's new home for the day-to-night feast. You can explore pop-up mini restaurants from MoVida; George Calombaris' the Press Club, Gazi, Hellenic Republic, Jimmy Grants; Estelle Bistro and Piquancy, plus Sydney's Nel and Mercado.

During the day, punters can wander through laneways packed with more than 70 artisan producers and gather on the lawns for gourmet picnics. By night, Yarra Park's canopy of trees will come alive with neon lights as you eat and drink your way around the festival after dark.

Visit the Marketplace to check out edible treats from local makers and other wares by Melbourne designers. Meanwhile, take away some new kitchen tricks at the Electrolux Taste Theatre, where the city's best chefs will be hosting cooking masterclasses. There will be 18 intimate classes during the festival, with the line-up reading like a whos-who of Melbourne's best chefs: Scott Pickett from ESP, Reuben Davis from the Press Club, Charlie Carrington from Atlas Dining, Jo Barrett from Oakridge and Matt McConnell from Bar Lourinhã will all be dropping knowledge on Taste of Melbourne's lucky audience.

Tickets to Taste of Melbourne are on sale now.
