P.S. 3 ArtPark

Blooming artists had the chance to get their creative juices flowing last weekend at P.S. 3's ArtPark, which closed out with a full day of workshops on Sunday. Some fearless participants jumped in on a dance demonstration, where they practiced their moves before putting on a flash mob performance. Crafty kids also learned how to weave on a giant wall-sized loom using recycled materials, built fairy houses and assembled their own paper puppets.

Aside from the workshops, there was plenty to keep the little ones busy, with cool structures to climb on and other interactive installations to inspire artistic thinking. Click through the slide show above to get a peek at the immersive exhibition and kids in action during the fun-filled workshops. Also, don't forget that bidding for P.S. 3's art auction, featuring works from over 30 artists, is continuing online through April 5. The proceeds will go toward the school's art and music programs and teaching and recess aides.
