FRANK SHINER AT CUTTING ROOM 3/21

Singer Frank Shiner and his all star band perform Saturday Night, March 21st, 7:30pm at New York's Cutting Room. All of Frank's previous shows have sold-out and his current single, the title track to his critically acclaimed debut album, The Real Me is #16 on the AC charts. Frank's show is a mixture of song and story and has proven to be very inspiring to his audiences. He sings lesser known songs from some of the contemporary music's greatest songwriters including, Paul Simon, Jimmy Webb, Elvis Costello, Randy Newman, Doc Pomus and Dr,John, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Van Morrison.

NPR says "Frank Shiner sings these songs as if he wrote them. He sings with a maturity and a truth that comes from living and loving deeply and fully." Time Out readers can save $5.00 off ticket price by using the code realdeal101. cuttingroomnyc.com for tickets.

A really cool date idea or even to meet new people is to check out City SpeakEZ's "Experience-Based" foreign language classes.  Think wine tastings while learning French or cooking classes while learning Spanish, dancing, dining out, and a ton more.  it's a lot of fun and an awesome way to learn a language and fin other cool places around NYC!  cityspeakez.com

Great list of things to do this weekend.  When I am in New York, There are two things I always try to do.  I always visit The Baseball Hall of Fame and I always try to catch a show on Broadway. There are a lot of fun things to do and enjoy.  Thanks for the post with the great ideas. http://www.artsrapidcity.org

What if any great plays - and not the super Broadway mega plays - are worth checkin' out?

Had the butter & safe spinach and ricotta ravioli at Luzzo's Pizza last night (in lower Manhattan). Top notch. Delicious.
