Pak Loh Chiu Chow is celebrating Mother’s Day with an 11-course feast designed for the whole family. The menu starts with a classic Chiu Chow marinated five-flavour platter featuring goose slices and pork tendon, followed by a range of dishes that balance traditional flavours with a contemporary twist. There are also new creations on the menu, including the Chiu Chow-style stuffed radish roll, tiger prawn with chilli cake, and the pomegranate-shaped chicken, a signature Chiu Chow dish where chicken is finely minced and mixed with shrimp paste and seasoning, then skilfully shaped into little pomegranate-like balls. Finally, the meal rounds off with comforting desserts like sweetened deep-fried taro cubes and mung bean sweet soup with rice dumplings.

1862 Bar de Tapas y Vino is whipping up a series of seasonal menu additions for Mother’s Day. Start the celebrations with a plate of roasted asparagus paired with Spanish dry-cured ham and slow-cooked egg, before moving on to a hearty roasted chicken paella infused with saffron and zesty lemon garlic aioli. To finish on a sweet note, the kitchen is serving up a rich chocolate and coffee mousse presented in an edible chocolate cup. If you want to toast to the woman of the hour, be sure to order the Pink Blush, a tequila-based cocktail mixed with coconut syrup and fresh lime juice, complete with a popping candy rim for a playful touch. Those who book ahead of Mother’s Day will be treated to a complimentary dessert, and all guests dining on the actual day will also receive a complimentary bottle of Estrella Inedit Damm Rosé!

Hopewell Hotel has put together two Mother’s Day celebrations this year. Over at Hopewell Inn, executive sous chef Wong Kam-ki has designed two Cantonese set menus focused on traditional nourishing ingredients. Families can tuck into an eight-dish feast featuring braised bird’s nest soup with crab meat, steamed tiger garoupa, and poached chicken with ginger and scallion. You can also upgrade your meal to the Luxe Flavour set menu, which adds dishes such as roasted pipa duck and braised six-head abalone to the table. As a final touch, every mother dining on the day will be gifted a fresh carnation and a Polaroid photo to take home.

Those after a bit of everything, Lobby Café is hosting a sumptuous international buffet, with a newly added steamed seafood station serving up fresh Boston lobster and Sabah giant garoupa, alongside chilled snow crab legs and sake-infused abalone. Meat lovers aren't left out either, as there’ll be roasted beef sirloin, suckling pig, mini Hainanese chicken rice, and more available.

Heimat by Peter Find is bringing the warmth of a German ‘Muttertag’ to Central with a week-long celebration. Guests can look forward to Mother’s Day lunch and dinner tasting menus that will showcase the best seasonal ingredients, including premium German white asparagus that’s freshly flown in.
