The last few weeks haven't been the easiest for our city's remarkable restaurant scene, with establishments having to limit operations or – in some cases – temporarily halt them altogether. Something positive for the city's food lovers at the moment, however, is that many great deals are going on around town that offers diners the opportunity to enjoy some of the fares at their favourite restaurants for reasonable prices.

Whether looking to try now or to visit when the time's right, here are some of the best deals from our favourite restaurants in Hong Kong.

The Leah is an atmospheric place in Causeway Bay's Lee Gardens that prides itself on its British food done right. Not only the food but also the current deal is great here, as for $980 for two people, visitors are treated to a bumper menu of the eatery's most popular dishes, with plenty of choices to boot. Select from butternut and squash soup or caesar salad for starters and then get stuck into either butterbean and aubergine cassoulet or Scotch egg and soldiers to follow. For those who still have room, then choose between a portion of fish and chips or a chicken pie, and end it all with either ice cream or stick toffee pudding. IFC's airy ode to the flavours of Barcelona is offering a feast of Spanish favourites for two, priced at $980 per person. The menu treats couples to delicacies like avocado lobster, red paella with clams and calamari, and La Rambla's famous The Perfect Egg, which is slow-cooked and prepared with caviar, black truffle, and potato foam. This much-loved neighbourhood Italian eatery-cum-bar nestled on the streets of Sheung Wan presents a three-course offering full of traditional Italian eats for only $398 per person. For the first course, diners can opt for either calamari of beef tartare, and select from a range of pizzas, pastas, and even hanger steak for the main course. There's a sweet end to this one with ice cream and amaretto-liqueur coffee. Offer for dine-in only, valid until May 31.

Among one of Hong Kong's most popular burger joints, Beef & Liberty is offering a great deal on their beefy treats to ease the current situation for diners around the city. In their Central and Wong Chuk Hang locations, get two Liberty burgers – Tasmanian grass-fed beef, caramelised onions and cheese – and choose from a bottle of Spanish or Italian wine, all for $579 per person. The popular Brazillian-Japanese fusion restaurant in Soho is offering a great deal at the moment, with a two-person-minimum set for $395 per person. For this price, diners can expect their mouths to water over delights including chicken and okra dumplings, pan-fried octopus in teriyaki sauce, grilled flank steak and more. End the feast with a portion each of yuzu mousse. Offer valid for dine-in only, until May 31.

Central's favourite jazzakaya – jazz-themed izakaya – is offering a great deal at the moment, with diners being able to indulge in an array of Japanese treats for $458 per person. The menu includes various dishes like coffee-cured red hamachi, watercress puree and pickled shallots, and the onsen salad, made from a baby gem, creamy yuzu, smoked ikura and rice crackers. Follow all this with the chef’s selection Hokkaido scallops with yuzu soy butter, and then have at some Japanese-style pork belly. Offer for dine-in only, until April 30.
