Social calendar looking a bit empty? Don't worry, we've got you. There's always something happening in Melbourne, and this week is no different – so let's dive right in!
You've only got one more week to check out the magical bubble installation at Prahran Square, which has turned the heart of Chapel Street into a kaleidoscopic playground of imagination. Not far from there is Central Park, where the East Malvern Food and Wine will be taking place on Sunday – expect a celebration of Victorian wine producers, brewers, growers and artisan makers.
The Melbourne Queer Film Festival continues this week, complete with a line-up of more than 130 movies to check out. And the Cherry-Picking Festival is also off and running for 2025, and it's your chance to pick as many of the juicy ripe fruits as your heart desires. Plus, it's the last week to check out The Talented Mr. Ripley, which our reviewer called "a brand-new take on the so-bad-he’s-wicked-good anti-hero".
When in doubt though, you can always rely on our catch-all lists of Melbourne's best bars, restaurants, museums, parks and galleries, or consult our bucket list of 100 things to do in Melbourne before you die.
