Dans le Noir is Australia’s first dip into Paris’s high-concept dining-in-the-dark experience. For Mother's Day, the restaurant is doing a special dark lunch. The three-course menu has a surprise chef's menu with drink and canapés upon arrival. It's $99 per person with five sittings to choose from. Book here.
Two Birds Brewery is celebrating women-led beer, entertainment and music for Mother's Day. This Fempocalypse event will start at midday, and you'll be able to try brews from Two Birds (Australia's first female-owned brewery) as well as live music from female and non-binary acts thanks to Love Shack Studios. Who doesn't love a winter roast? Head to Fancy Hank's on the 12th for the launch of its winter roasts season. This lunch set menu is $45 per person and features drink specials (including beers by Fixation) and a menu with slow-cooked lamb shoulder, winter greens, lamb dripping potatoes and a rhubarb cobbler. This Carlton venue, which encompasses a deli, espresso bar and rooftop, will be offering a bunch of fun events for Mother's Day. The King and Godfree Espresso Bar will be handing out housemade hazelnut and milk chocolate baci to every mum and donating $1 from every café latte to charity Miracle Mums. South Melbourne's Bibelot is upping the ante on its annual Mother's Day High Tea. Expect extravagant sweet treats like lemon and elderflower macarons, blue cheese and walnut tarts, finger sandwiches and traditional buttermilk scones. This always-popular Flinders Lane restaurant is opening early for its first ever brunch. This BrunCHIN' will include a sharing menu of wok-fried crab omelettes, corn fritters with pork belly, and sticky rice with grilled banana. Head to QT's Pascale Bar and Grill on Mother's Day from noon and mum will be treated to a lovely three-course meal. She'll get a glass of Mumm Champagne at the door and can dig into a meal of cured kingfish, kurobuta pork belly, woodfired John Dory and heaps more (including some A class desserts). Head to the Bellarine Peninsula and Terindah Estate to celebrate mum with a Mother's Day luncheon. This three-course meal features smoked duck, caramelised salmon, jamon chicken with duck fat potatoes and a rhubarb and apple tart. Spend Mother's Day surrounded by the underwater creatures at Melbourne Aquarium. Guests can sign up for a Mother's Day High Tea, running from 11am until 1.30pm in the Coral Atoll zone. The highest restaurant in Melbourne is offering a three-course special lunch for Mother's Day. The menu features confit ocean trout, Yarra Valley salmon roe, and a dessert platter for the table, plus plenty of premium wine. The venue has breathtaking views from the 89th floor of the Eureka Skydeck, so this one's not recommended for those with a fear of heights.
