Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong partners with local green tea specialist Matchali to launch an afternoon tea set full of Japanese-inspired treats. Each tea set features sweet and savoury bites made using Matchali’s ceremonial-grade matcha and roasted hojicha, such as matcha crepe filled with smoked salmon and ikura, matcha lava cake, and hojicha-infused chocolate gateaux. Other treats to look forward to include foie gras monaka with sakura jam; black truffle egg sando; Hokkaido milk pudding verine; as well as freshly baked red bean taiyaki pancakes. The collaborative tea set also features a hand-whisked matcha or hojicha latte from Matchali, and diners will receive a complimentary $10 cash voucher to use at all Matchali stores.

With upcoming art festivals like Art Basel and Art Central taking place in the city, vegetarian restaurant Jaja joins the fun by releasing their Taste of Arts afternoon tea set. This artsy tea set is full of colourfully decorated desserts like mushroom-shaped meringues, raspberry chocolate dipped croissants, rose-shaped mousse, and plenty more. The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong collaborates with legendary British punk fashion brand Vivienne Westwood to create the Vivienne Westwood Blooming Elegance Afternoon Tea, as a celebration for the brand’s latest 2024 Spring Summer collection. The hotel’s culinary team has put together a menu full of vibrant hues to match the new collection, such as pandan and coconut verrine, white chocolate mousse with strawberry sakura, and pistachio macarons. The Vivienne Westwood-inspired afternoon tea also features savoury morsels like ocean prawns in a chrysanthemum jelly dome cake, and beef pastrami with horseradish tartlets topped with raspberry cream. 

All guests will get to enjoy a personalised one-on-one styling services at Vivienne Westwood stores, a 20 percent discount on selected clothing and handbags, as well as a 10 percent discount on standard-priced items like jewellery and watches, or limited-edition items.

This March, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong will present an exclusive art-inspired afternoon tea menu for the sweet-toothed. The hotel’s time-limited tea set takes inspiration from five artworks that will be on display at Art Basel and reimagines them in the form of desserts. Diners can delight in a mini replica of ‘Forgive You and Forget You’ by Michaela Yearwood-Dan, painted onto a slice of white chocolate on top of the hotel’s signature cheesecake; a plant-based chocolate cake topped with a mini gold frame inspired by ‘Nicolas Party and Rosalba Carriera’, and many more.
