The Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park announces new partners for 2016

Ahh, don’t you just love the holidays in New York? Out of all the things to do in fall in NYC, everyone looks forward to the return of The Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park the most. Why? Because once the 17,000-square-foot outdoor ice skating rink and more than 100 shopping and food kiosks open for business, this means that Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa are officially right around the corner. The most wonderful time of the year is nearly upon us! RECOMMENDED: Full guide to Christmas in New York The legendary holiday market will open to the public on Saturday, October 29 (similar to 2015’s speedy opening date). However, unlike last year, Bryant Park Corporation has teamed up with some new and interesting local business partners. Remember Bryant Park’s rink-side pop-up restaurant, Celsius? Well, Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group is taking over by opening a fine-casual, seasonal eatery dubbed Public Fare—like Meyer’s former Central Park takeout spot. The grub hub will sit on the northeast corner of The Rink, and will operate food concessions inside the Skating Pavilion. This all-day operation (open from 8am to 10pm) will serve locals and tourists tasty food such as sandwiches, soup and coffee, and will then transition into a wine and cocktail bar at night. The spot will also be co-designed by Crate and Barrel, so you know it will be festive and cute as f*ck. Another change is that Urbanspace (y’know, the brand that’s responsible for Union Square’s a

On October 29, the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park will open for the 2016 holiday season! (Yes, we know it's not even Halloween yet). We've already told you about all the changes and new partners set for the Winter Village last month, but the good news just keeps rolling in with the announcement of this year's vendor list. RECOMMENDED: Full guide to Bryant Park Winter Village As we previously mentioned, the Winter Village teamed up with Urbanspace—the brand that handles the holiday markets in Union Square and Columbus Circle—for this year's Christmas utopia. And Urbanspace's roster of makers, creators and food purveyors certainly doesn't disappoint. This year's holiday shops will feature over 125 boutiques hawking everything from jewelry and decorative goods to beauty products and food. Johnny Weir is named the first Winter Village Skating Ambassador

On the same day that the United Nations made history by designating Wonder Woman as an Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls, NYC's Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park has announced a rather bold ambassadorship of their own. Starting on November 1, everyone's favorite ice skater with attitude, Johnny Weir, will serve as the park's first-ever Winter Village Ambassador. RECOMMENDED: Full guide to Bryant Park Winter Village What exactly does a Winter Village Ambassador do with one's time, you might ask if you are a sane human being. Apparently, the two-time Olympian and reality TV favorite will perform feats on ice throughout the season, serve as a creative consultant for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, and welcome guests to the park. This year's Winter Village promises to have more colorful perks than ever, with UrbanSpace bringing in new retailers and vendors including Strand Book Store and Farm to People. The Village is open November 1–March 5, 8am–10pm, with special holiday shops through January 2nd.      A photo posted by 马洁 (@sakimmma) on Jul 19, 2016 at 11:01pm PDT   The polls are open! incredible, beautiful, exciting, enchanting AND EXPENSIVE.  it's an annual event for us during christmas.  most people are so nice and the vibe is very HOLIDAY...................AND  don't miss the NYPL'S magnificent christmas tree in the library adjacent to the park.  it's an indoor beauty, even more inspiring the the tree at rock center (in our opinion), and it's in one of our most favorite buildings, the NYPL.  HAPPY HOLIDAY.
