National Girl Scout Cookie Day

National Girl Scout Cookie Day

It’s the most wonderful time of the year—for cookie lovers, that is. On Friday, February 8, Girl Scouts (and their fans) will celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Day with—what else?—lots and lots of cookies. Young businesswomen around the country will sell and deliver their sugary wares using the leadership and money management skills they learned in their troop. In Manhattan, families can make their way to the official Girl Scout Cookie Truck to sample Trefoils, Tagalongs and Samoas for free (and buy their favorites) and pose for a cookie photo op. The green truck will roll through the city at various times and locations, so check below to see when you can get your Thin Mint fix. An even bigger perk than happy taste buds? You’ll be supporting the largest girl-led business in the world.
8:30–10:30am: 42nd Street and Madison Avenue
11:30am–1:30pm: 57th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues
2:30pm–4:30pm: Park Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets
5:30pm–7:30pm: Amsterdam Avenue between 70th and 71st Streets

If you can't make it on Friday, go to girlscoutcookies.org or download the free Cookie Finder app, available for iPhone and Android, to find out where you can purchase the sweet treats.
