Why they’re single:
Brian: He recently started a new job, so he’s working a lot.
Marc: He really hates dating and tends to put work and his personal life first.
Brian: A Central Park walk, followed by champagne
Marc: Having drinks at a super-chill bar
Brian: “He wasn’t my type, but he knew how to keep the conversation going, which is something that I like in someone. He really took the lead with things right away.”
Marc: “I try not to go off first impressions, but he seemed super friendly and nice. He wasn’t like anyone I’ve dated before. He did nice things, like holding open the door for me.”
Brian: “Absolutely no romantic chemistry. We mostly spoke about holiday plans. We talked a lot about our moms. He was a very hard-to-read person. Friendly, but hard to read.”
Marc: “I always find that hard to tell on a first date. Maybe on a second date I could feel it more. I’m always up to see if there might be a second date.”
Brian: “Our gift card didn’t work, so Marc went and grabbed a manager who had to go to the vendors and manually put in the numbers for the meal.”
Marc: “The initial meeting was kind of awkward just because I didn’t know what he looked like. But I feel like that’s always kind of an awkard thing on a blind date.”
Brian: “He had to meet up with a friend, so we headed out. I asked him for his social media, and then he asked for my number. So I think he was maybe more into it than I was.”
Marc: “I gave him my number, so we’ll see what happens! When he called, he said it didn’t go through because he didn’t have service, so I don’t have his number.”
Brian: ♥♥ “He was great company, just not really my type. He was a little too vanilla. It was more of a friendly catch-up. I don’t think I’d even consider it a date.”
Marc: ♥♥♥ “I had a nice time. I enjoyed it. I could see myself going on a second date—why not? He seemed super interested in what I did and my story.”
