Another week, another ranking of the best restaurants in the world… but hey, we’re not complaining! This time, the selection is by luxury lifestyle magazine Elite Traveller, which hosts a yearly ‘readers’ choice’ awards for the very best restaurants in the world right now.
The results for 2023 have therefore been selected by their ‘discerning high-net-worth audience’, which gives you a bit of a clue as to the kind of establishments that have made the cut.
Clearly, these readers have experienced their fair share of luxury dining, and this list is proof. Many of the restaurants featured have already been elevated into GOAT territory by the acquisition of Michelin stars, but the awards also spotlit some lesser-known contenders.
The unranked list includes entries from all over the world: Ireland to Hong Kong, Australia to Greece. However, certain foodie hotspots did emerge: France, the UK and the USA each boasted a platter of entries into the top 85. With nine restaurants in London, nine in Paris and 11 in New York all claiming a spot on the list, it seems like these are the cities to be for some truly fantastic food.
