Where to buy the 2016 Time Out Melbourne Pub Guide

Your key to unlocking the best pubs this city has to offer

Melbourne has been voted the most liveable city in the world again, and I like to think pubs have something to do with that. Our pubs are our homes away from home, the setting for our best times with family and friends, and a reflection of the communities that define this great metropolis. Where else but your local can the four million of us who didn't score front row tickets enjoy the footy? And where would we be without live music? And craft beer? And how good is the food? Our pubs are even helping us make good choices with more vegetarian options and sustainably sourced meat and seafood.

There's been a couple of tragic losses this year, but a new generation of passionate publicans is hard at work, rescuing our old boozers to revive and improve rather than smash and grab. To these guys, and everyone else making an honest buck off an honest pint: cheers.
